Permission Based Marketing

This is a breakdown of the marketing plan:

1. Using state of the art digital imaging and graphics manipulation, the web site to be designed will both attractively describe the services currently offered by your offices and include links and administrative pages to facilitate Permission Based Marketing on your site.

2. We believe that Permission Based Marketing is the most effective way to increase and inform your customer base using Internet technology. This marketing process has two facets.

  • Gaining permission-Your customer base, both new and existing, must first grant you permission to "market" to them by giving you their e-mail addresses and permission to communicate with them using this medium. This makes your message a welcome message and not an unwelcome interruption.
    • Your web site will include a Registration/Sign-up page which must clearly describe the kinds of information you plan to share with your customer base as well as a place for them to give their name and email address. This page must also include a clear privacy policy so they will be clear about how this information will and will not be used. Upon registration each customer will receive an immediate thank you/confirmation email letter for having signed up.
    • Your site will also contain a location for customers to manage their permissions. It is important that the customers understand that it is as easy to unsubscribe to your marketing, as it is to subscribe. Although this may slightly increase churn, it will convey trust, an important part of PBM.
    • A direct mail piece will be sent to existing customers inviting them to visit your site and register. A promotion, appropriate to your business, can be created to give your customers additional incentive for visiting and registering.
    • Customers, will be encouraged to provide their email and permission. Office staff can enter these emails and customers will find a thank you email awaiting them when they return home.
    • Customers will be encouraged to share the emails of friends who the system will invite (referring to the customers name) to visit your site and sign up for your newsletter(s). An incentive, appropriate to your business, should be provided to both the referrer as well as the referral.

Note: Jeff Bezos of Amazon.com in a recent Network magazine article that if he had seen the value of Work of Mouth at the beginning of his business he would have a profit today. When Dexter Yager of Internet Service Corp. was asked in the same magazine a month later he said Word of Mouth made his business a profitable 40 Billion dollar corporation.
    • Your site would be registered with a number of the more popular search engines providers. This listing would enhance the potential for completely new customers to find your site and become familiar with your services as well as sign up for your marketing message. Additional premium services can be explored to target your search engine listing to more specific search engine markets.
  • b. Marketing-Sharing your message
    • Having created a body of persons and companies who would like to hear your message, we will provide the tools for you to send periodic information emails to your permission base. These emails can:
      1. Keep people updated about new services provided by your office.
      2. Inform customers about how they might take advantage of existing services.
      3. Inform customers of periodic promotions that you may be running
      4. Send out educational pieces or a series of pieces coming from your specific expertise.
      5. Alert your customers on anything that may be happening in the area or with your practice.
      6. Send reminders to cell phones as a text message or remind them of appointments or changes in the office schedule.
    • All these emails should:
      1. Provide a link back to your site-from time to time to a specific page concerning a specific promotion or issue.
      2. Provide contact information for you and your staff.
      3. always provide a link for a customer to manage his or her permission by either changing their email, subscribing to an additional newsletter if you provide one, or to unsubscribe if desired

3. Tracking and reporting

  • A series of reports will be provided to track who and how frequently persons visit your site (where this does not violate a person's privacy).
  • With this information additional incentives and promotions can be provided and tailored for frequent visitors.
